NATURAL CRAFTS

Children learn how to make natural crafts. Children are shown where to find certain materials to use in their creations. You can always see children eagerly working upon crafts such as: pottery, weaving, traditional tool making, wood carving (age eight and above), rock carving and mineral discoveries (lots of soapstone and garnets abound at NC), miniature boat making — to use in streams, fairy wings, gods’ eyes, making cordage out of inner bark and plant fibers, and more.
