The following certifications and forms must be completed for employment at Nature Camps.
CJIS Criminal Background Check
Potential Employees must go to an approved fingerprinting location to submit fingerprints for a full background check (Federal and State of Maryland). The cost is approximately $50. Your purpose is "working at a youth camp."

Child Protective Services Clearance
Applicants must complete a CPS background clearance form electronically.
Create an account with myDHR, part of the Maryland Department of Human Resources:
Once you have entered your personal information, the background check form must be printed, NOTARIZED, scanned, and uploaded to your counselor application.
Employment Eligibility Verification (I-9 Form)
Applicants must complete an I-9 form (PDF, complete page 4 only) and upload it to the counselor application, along with copies of required identification documents. If you have a US Passport (even if it is expired), this will suffice. If not you will need to submit one document from list B and one document from list C. The most common documents used are a driver's license and social security card.
Employee's Withholding Allowance Certificate (W-4)
Applicants must complete and upload a 2019 W-4 (PDF) to the counselor application. Please be sure sections 1 (name & address), 2 (Social Security Number), 3 (marital status) and 7 (number of allowances) are completed. If you are exempt from withholding, please write the word EXEMPT next to #7. Also be sure to sign and date this form. The top portion is an optional worksheet and the employer information may be left blank.
Employee's Maryland Withholding Exemption Certificate (MW507)
Applicants must complete and upload a MW-507 (PDF, complete page 1 only) to the counselor application. Please be sure all sections are completed. If you are exempt from withholding, please write the word EXEMPT in Box 1. Also be sure to sign and date this form.
