Kids and Counselors Pumped for First Day of Choice Activities

Here at Nature Camps we love the first two days of each new session, when small groups spend the day fostering personal connections between campers, counselors, and the camp space.

The third day brings its own joyful feels - a full day of camper choice activities!

The activity board welcomes campers and visitors as they enter the lodge each morning.

Many activities found themselves out and about, challenging themselves on the ropes-courses and enjoying stream and trail hikes. Others made use of the main grounds, in the pool, carving station, and craft tables.

Several campers chose Soapstone Carving for their first activity, beginning projects that they will refine over the session.

Nature Poems were a delightful start to the day, tapping into the creative juices and witty humor of campers and counselors alike.

Penny (5) and Mirah (9) became fast friends, thanks to the mixed-age groups at Nature Camps, Inc.

Who wouldn't want to wrap up their day with a dip ... or backstroke race ... in the pool?
