Spotlight on Pea Shooters

Making one's own Bamboo Pea Shooter is a longstanding and popular Nature Camps tradition. The activity makes a surprise appearance each session, with pea shooting challenges filling the proceeding days.

First, campers saw their own piece of wide bamboo, which will be used to create their peas-holder.

Next, campers drill two holes and add the string that will allow their peas to hang from their neck for quick and easy access!

Finally, the perfect narrow piece is selected and sanded to become the pea shooter!

Let the games begin!

Rules of the Game:1. Aim for trees, rocks, or friends below the neck only!2. Always ask friends for their permission before you shoot!
